Biographical history

As the Co-Director for IconicFocus and IconicFocus Models, Patty Sicular “has navigated her way throughout the fashion world, working with some of the best and brightest artists in the industry. In 1980 she joined Ford Model Agency working closely with agency founders Eileen and Gerard W. “Jerry” Ford. During her nearly 30 year tenure, Sicular worked concurrently at Ford Men (1980-1983), Ford Women’s High Board (1984-1985) and Ford II, Classic, Plus, Parts, and Archives (1986-2010).”…”In 1995, Sicular was made a Vice President [of Ford Models] where she held the role for fifteen years. Her proficiency in fashion history extended far beyond the world of modeling. Sicular has been involved in numerous exhibitions honoring fashion photography and design.”

Scope and content

This collection is comprised of 32 folders containing the archives of the Ford Models, Inc. There are press clippings from 1936-2012, correspondence, public relations, Eileen Ford's speeches and book manuscripts, the Ford Book look books, as well personal information. Additionally there is more detailed information about Ford Models, Vendela, and Ted Dawson.

The collection is arranged into ten series: Press; Correspondence; Public relations; Book manuscripts; Photographs; Personal; Miscellaneous; Ford Book look books; Ford model Vendela and Ford model Ted Dawson. There are also sub-series for Vendela and Dawson. Vendela's are broken into Press and Public relations. Dawson's are Press; Public relations; Correspondence, Personal and Photographs.Within each series and sub-series the folders are organizaed chronological when possible.
