This folder contains news paper clipping from Fashion Week, the national news paper of retailing from November 13, 1972. It describes a retrospective fashion show of McCardell's designs, organized by American Designer Rudi Gernreich, 1922-1985. Also in this folder is a newspaper clipping from 1975 featuring a sundress designed by McCardell in 1946.

This folder contains charcoal and crayon nude sketches and figure studies, may have been done while McCardell attended the Parisian branch of New York School of Fine and Applied Art (today known as Parsons). Most sketches are signed and dated.

This folder contains Xeroxed clippings, including McCardell's bathing suit featured on the cover of Life Magazine. Also in the folder are clipping regarding McCardell's men's wear design for an event related to the Costume Institute exhibition "Adam in the Looking Glass" at The Metropolitan Museum of Art, and several clippings relating to her collection of pleated dresses.

It includes an advertisement for "Futuramic Oldsmobile" for which McCardell designed a summer ensemble to reflect the design aesthetic of the car and the life style that goes with it.

This folder contains advertisements, including a Lord &Taylor ad congratulating McCardell on her appearance on the cover of Vogue. In the folder there is also an ad for fabric with Raoul Dufy's prints from a series of a line of fabrics featuring works of artists like Picasso and Chagall. McCardell designed a resort ensemble with Dufy's print.

It includes examples of the 'surprise alert' suit designed by McCardell that year as well as 'was savings' clothes using minimal yardage of fabric and side closure of buttons instead of metal zipper.
