Marimekko OyTwo paper and wood promotional fans for the French perfume company Rosine, which was founded by couturier Paul Poiret in 1911. Printed on both sides, one side with abstract botanicals and the other side with the name of the company and a selection of perfumes. Each fan bears a red sticker with the name of a single perfume. The fan would have been scented with that perfume. The fans were part of a series promoting different fragrances. Advertisements, the perfume bottles, and associated products like perfumed cards or fans were all part of Poiret's merchandising artistry.

Its earliest example, a watercolor by Pierre Brissaud for Gazette du Bon Ton, is dated 1913; its most recent donation is by contemporary artist Ruben Toledo. Among other stars represented in the collection are Eric (Carl Erickson), René Bouché, Dorothy Hood, George Stavrinos, and Antonio (Lopez). Donations to the collection come from artists, collectors, and industry professionals. The donated works fulfill criteria established by the Neady Collection Advisory Board, which acknowledges artists who exhibit high standards of draftsmanship and esthetic quality, demonstrate an individual approach, possess technical virtuosity, have worked for high-end magazines, stores or corporations, and have earned the admiration of their peers. The Frances Neady collection’s mission is to encourage and facilitate research by students and industry professionals in the art of fashion illustration. The collection presents a graphic record of the art’s evolution since the 1910s. In addition, it provides a vivid cultural and visual reflection of its time.

Traphagen School of FashionThe Bergdorf Goodman Custom Salon sketches collection contains 8,976 pencil, ink, and watercolor sketches by staff artists representing clothing and millinery available in Bergdorf's custom salon. These garments were made to order either from designs purchased by special arrangement from the leading coutouriers of the day or from sketches by Bergdorf's then well known in-house designers. Representative designers include Dior, Balenciaga, Halson and Courreges. House designers include Leslie Morris, Mary Gleason, and Bernard Newman. There is a complete run from 1950 to 1969. In addition, there is a representative sampling of sketches from the 1930s and 40s.
In addition to the sketches, the collection contains preliminary manuscripts and galley proofs of Booton Herndon's book Bergdorf's on the Plaza (NY: Alfred A. Knopf, 1956) as well as typescripts of his interviews with and about members of the Goodman family and with and about such key members of the staff as Ethel Frankau, Odna Brandeis, and house designers Bernard Newman, Leslie Morris, and Mary Gleason.

This collection contains millinery (hats) for which some designs can be attributed to Esther A. Kleeper in 1945. The remainder of the collection is ready-to-wear dresses and suits, along with evening wear, mostly ballgowns, that were adapted from French couturiers for the American woman. The sketches have been divided into millinery, ready-to-wear, and evening wear. Many of the sketches are not dated, but based upon a survey of the collection and dates of similar physical garments made by Hattie Carnegie, Inc. it is assumed that the sketches are from the aforementioned dates.

The Roundtable of Fashion ExecutivesDonated in March 2009, the Arsho Baghsarian shoe design collection comprises approximately 26 cubic feet (14 cubic feet for the sketches and 12 cubic feet for the sample shoes and embellishments). The collection contains 561 shoe prototypes (210 total pairs and 141 total single shoes), 9 original boxes, 4 accessories (2 pairs of Shin-Shams) and 4752 design sketches, some handbags but mostly shoes shown in profile. Many, especially during the later part of her career are sketch copies since the originals remain at the factory. The original sketches are done in pencil, ink and gouache and photocopied. Additionally, there are numerous fabric and leather swatches, samples of ornament and color charts, roughly 102 pattern pieces, 224 advertisements primarily from The New York Times and Footwear News, 47 photographs primarily from the Margaret Jerrold retrospective exhibition held at Lord and Taylor in 1982, assorted press clippings, and 43 spiral-bound shoe forecasts from the 1950’s and 1960’s from the Mademoiselle Shoe Company. This is undoubtedly an important collection due in part to Baghsarian’s artistry and sculptural sensibility. She was able to utilize and craft a wide variety of materials to produce throughout the world during a career that spanned more than forty years from 1963 through 2008. The range of materials makes the collection an important tool for conservation, while the collection of design sketches, actual shoe prototypes and marketing, sometimes in publications that have greatly transformed or no longer exist, gives students a sense of art marketing and fashion history.

The majority of the collection is undated, although it is estimated that most of it is from the 1930s and 1940s. At least one piece of promotional material is from yrto, and there is a scrapbook cover stamped with yrto. Previous documentation of the collection noted that some sketches were by other designers for Seymour Troy, and specifically named Emery Blau, Al Lewis, and "Cohen." It appears that the collection was added to after Seymour Troy's death, as there are at least two sketches dated 1977.
